For many years we have worked in making alterations to homes to make them more accessible for its residents.
One of the main changes we make is that all of our uPVC and composite doors come with a low thresh as standard. Where typically a uPVC door would have a 70mm thresh and quite often also sitting on a 30mm cill, our doors are supplied with a 15mm aluminium threshold meaning there is no step over to get through your door. It is quite common for us to hear stories of residents tripping and falling as they go through their existing door. With our 15mm low threshes that isn't an issue any more.

We can also look to make other alterations to your property including altering step heights or adding in more steps meaning the heights are reduced, fitting handrail or grab rails in and around the property or actually installing a modular steel ramp to your main access. Quite often the cost of this could be covered by your local authority so it is always worth asking their advice first before having any of this type of work carried out.
